I have a friend asking me this question I dont know an honest answer but i said i would find out. So I was just wondering if you worked for a large comapany if it would be possible for a hacker from home to get into you computer at work with just your email address?

It is always possible for a hacker to get to anyones computer if they use a virus or trojan, and the person using the system does not pay attention to what they are doing.
Most corporations have a ton of security though, so getting hacked at work is really not a very realistic possibility, but if a trojan got on the system opened by an email, and setup a remote connection, it is possible. But still once again, it is highly unlikely that would happen.

It is possible, especially if your work has publicly available IP addresses, but it is highly unlikely to happen. An email address alone tells you little about what machine the person uses, or what their IP is so it’s not going to help at all unless they used the email address to get you to download something (like a backdoor utility).

As other have said, it is possible. However with all the protection the companies have available I doubt it that a un-experienced hacker would be able to do it. That being said, don’t put anything past a experienced hacker. They are very good and you will not even know they are there is they go into silent mode.
