I don’t have a router for wireless, nor do I have a network set up in my house. No other computer in my house can use the internet through this computer since i dont have a router, just a modem that connects me directly to the internet using broadband/cable. Can anyone hack into my computer through this? I really do not now anything about internet connections and I need your help to understand this. I am being a bit paranoid and I want to be sure. I had my friend install a wireless router for my laptop. I cannot find it anymore in my choice of online connections. Is it possible he could have used the MAC or S/N number to disable it from his own computer?

I never downloaded anything from anyone. I feel as if someone has hacked into it because went i copied my photo and was going to paste it into paint, it pasted a screen shot of a website i was previously on. Does that mean someone has hacked into it?? How could that have happened?? What all can they see??
